Mentoring / Partners in Education

In August 2011, McCutchen and Sexton donated a bicycle to Spradling Elementary as a perfect attendance award. The bike will be displayed in the cafeteria as an incentive for students to qualify for the quarterly prize. Mandy Brooks and Joey McCutchen were photographed shortly before the presentation.

Mentoring area youth plays a significant role in The Law Firm’s commitment to our community. For over a decade, Joey McCutchen has mentored youths from the Boys and Girls Clubs. Additionally, the staff at McCutchen and Sexton mentor students from Darby Junior High School. Students who aspire for a career in the legal profession are invited to shadow lawyers and paralegals at The Law Firm where they can see and experience the day-to-day preparations of case work, are introduced to local Judges, given tours of the courthouse, and inspired to complete their education. The Law Firm also mentors area students through its partnership with Spradling Elementary School where it serves as a Partner in Education.
