Talking and Texting While Driving Can Ruin Your Holiday

The Holidays are a busy time of the year.  We all are rushing around trying to finish our shopping, stock up on food and visit with family before the New Year arrives.   With all of the hustle and bustle comes the inevitable bombardment of phone calls, text messages and e-mails from friends, family and business associates.  Many of those come while we are driving. 
 
The National Safety Council estimates that 1.6 million car wrecks a year involve drivers who are in some way using a cell phone.  That is over 25% of all crashes.  This data shows what we all already know, using a cell phone while driving is dangerous.  So, during this Holiday Season, I urge to wait until you reach your destination until you make that call or send that text.  No phone call is worth a family being without a loved one during the Holidays.
